BeginFit is built to keep as little about you as it can. Most of what you tell the app stays on your iPhone. This page explains what we collect, where it goes and how to delete it.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your onboarding answers, such as your goal, your days and minutes, your space, sore spots, age band and sex.
- Your plan, the sessions you did, how each one felt and anything that hurt.
- Your test results and, if you choose to log it, your weight.
- Your answer to the health check. Its details never leave the device.
What we send to the coach service
When Pip writes your Sunday check-in or answers a message, the app sends our coach service a summary of your profile and your recent week, along with your message. The service uses Anthropic's Claude to write the reply and sends it back. It does not keep your plan or your history. It holds each weekly check-in for a short time so it isn't written twice, and keeps operational logs, such as the type of request and your anonymous install ID, to run and protect the service.
Each install has a random, anonymous ID so we can apply fair-use limits. We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Apple Health
If you allow it, BeginFit saves each completed session to Apple Health as a workout. It does not read anything from Apple Health.
Reminders
Session and check-in reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No reminder data is sent to us.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We see whether a subscription is active, not your payment details.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- There are no ads in BeginFit.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete my data. This erases everything BeginFit stores on your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same. To cancel a subscription, use your App Store account settings.
Children
BeginFit is made for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
If how BeginFit handles data changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
